BARCODE REGISTRATION IN VIETNAM
(apply for Vietnamese organizations and individuals from April 01, 2021)
I. REQUIRED INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS
i) 02 Certified copies of the Enterprise Registration Certificate;
ii) 02 copies of Application for using Barcode (Application prepared by ELITE);
iii) 02 copies of Registration form of the product catalog using the GTIN code (Application prepared by ELITE)
II. TIME LIMIT
(i) The time to activate the Barcode on the system (for online use) is 07 working days from the date of submitting the complete application at the National Numbering and Barcodes Center. We would like to note that, the Certificate of the right to use the barcode will be issued after 30 days from the date on which the customer has completed the detailed declaration of the barcoded product on the online system of the National Numbering and Barcodes Center.
(ii) After the Barcode is activated online, we will assist in declaring specific products for customers to create the Barcode and using the same.
III. CERTIFICATE OF THE RIGHT TO USE THE BARCODE
According to the new regulation in Circular 10/2020/TT-BKHCN (effective from April 1, 2021), the validity period of the Certificate of the right to use the barcode is not more than 03 years from the date of issue.
