INDUSTRIAL DESIGN REGISTRATION IN LAOS
I. REQUIRED INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS
(i). Name, address and nationality of applicant and designer(s);
(ii). Photographs/drawings of front, rear, left, right, top, bottom and perspective views of Industrial Design (electronic format);
(iii). Certified copy of the priority document(s), if claimed;
(iv). Original notarized Power of Attorney of applicant in favour of ELITE LAW FIRM (under our form);
(v). Original notarized Deed of Assignment, requested only if:

- Applicant is individual but not the designer; or
- Applicant is organization not the applicant stated in priority application.
II. TIME LIMT
Time frame for registration of a design from filing to granting of a Design Registration Certificate (in a smooth case, without Office Action or objection/rejection) is normally around 06-12 months
III. VALIDITY TERM
A Patent for Industrial Design is valid for 15 years from filing date, renewable each time for 5 years.
