Recordal of Trademark/Patent Owner’s name/address change in Vietnam
I. Required documents
- An original Power of Attorney signed by applicant/owner under the new name/address (under our form);
- Documents demonstrating the change:
i. An original notarized Declaration on the Trademark/Patent owner’s name/address change executed by applicant/owner; or
ii. An original certified true copy of Certificate of Company Name/Address Change issued by competent authority; or
iii. An original Certificate of Merger.
- An Original Trademark Registration Certificate or Patent for Invention/Utility Solution/Design if granted.
Note: All documents are required at filing.
II. Time limit
According to the current Industrial Property regulations, it takes 02 months for recordal of Industrial Property Rights owner’s name/address change.

Trademark Renewal in Vietnam
I. Required documents
- An original Power of Attorney signed by trademark owner (under our form);
- Class(es) of goods/services subject to renewal;
- An original Certificate of Trademark Registration if the client wishes to record in the original certificate.
Notes:
- 6-month grace period;
- All the documents are required at filing.
II. Time limit
According to the current Industrial Property regulations, it takes 02 months for recordal of a Trademark renewal.
